- Memorandum of Understanding with the Greek National Commission for UNESCO.
North Events following the first successful large exhibition for Greece, held between 11-13 December 2015 at Torwar Arena, in Warsaw, announces the second tourism fair GRECKA PANORAMA together with THE GREEK FOOD SHOW. The two exhibitions will promote Greek tourism, Greek products and gastronomy, and will take place in the great National Stadium of Warsaw, the PGE Narodowy, on 3-4 December 2016.
A few days ago North Events signed an important Memorandum of Understanding with the Greek National Commission for UNESCO with the aim to raise awareness and promote the cultural heritage of Greece - tangible and intangible - and its natural wealth. Within the framework of promoting Greece as a destination for high-level visitors, this agreement aims to define the outline of cooperation between the two bodies – and as seen fit within their fields – in order to help create the necessary synergies to promote and communicate Tourism, Gastronomy and Culture.
In the second GRECKA PANORAMA (www.greckapanorama.com) destinations and tourism businesses from every region of Greece will have the opportunity to address the public of Poland in a unique atmosphere, with sounds, colors, images and a Greek taste!
It is characteristic that more than 700,000 Polish visitors came to Greece in 2015, a huge increase of 50% from 2013-2014, placing the Greek destinations a top choice for Polish visitors.
The second exhibition is under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Embassy of Greece in Warsaw, Greek National Tourism Organization, the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (SETE), the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels (XEE), the Hellenic Hotel Federation (POX), the Hellenic Association of Travel and Tourist Agencies (HATTA), Polish Tour Operators Association (PZOT) and the Association of Greek Entrepreneurs in Poland "HERMES”. The support of the largest tour operators that bring tourism in Greece, - as in the first exhibition in 2015 – will be significant and will include promoting strong sales for the next tourist season during the fairs dates in 2016.
During the same dates with GRECKA PANORAMA at the National Stadium PGE Narodowy, THE GREEK FOOD SHOW will be the first event which will present the rich culinary traditions and products of Greece in one of the largest markets in Europe. Greek exports IN Poland, between the years 2009-2014 exceeded the amount of € 300,000,000, recording 60% growth, with main export products fresh fruits, cheeses, fresh fish and fillets, and olive oil.
Poland is a dynamically growing market, with nearly 39 million population, with a growth-rate amongst the fastest in Europe, ranked already in 8th place as an important economic power within the European Union.
THE GREEK FOOD SHOW aims at building the image and identity of Greek products, at the recognition of the Greek gastronomy and culinary tradition through a dynamic first time ever presentation for the Greek food industry in Poland. The fair will be an opportunity to present new products and services, communicate with targeted buyers and expand cooperation’s by acquiring new dynamic clients.
The Greek Travel and Trade Center (www.greekcenter.pl) – which is a private initiative of North Events together with Future Need Company – will be providing important support throughout the year both for GRECKA PANORAMA and THE GREEK FOOD SHOW. The Greek Center opens its doors in April 2016 and will provide systematic year-around presence and work for the Greek tourism and Greek export industries.
